Since its inception 1995 the National Servicemen’s Reunion held at Bingara during March has gone from strength to strength.

Each year the Reunion begins on the Friday evening with a meet and greet night at the Bingara Returned Service Club.

On the Saturday the National Servicemen, lead by the flag bearers of the various member branches march along Bingara’s main street, Maitland Street to the RSL Memorial Park and Cenotaph in Finch Street. During the march they are accompanied by a contingent of students from Bingara Central School.

At the conclusion of the march a memorial remembrance service and wreath laying ceremony are conducted, this is followed by a luncheon for the servicemen and their guests in the Bingara RSL Club.

On the Sunday the participants in the reunion attend various church services followed by a social barbeque in the grounds of the Bingara Riverside Caravan Park.

Those who attend the reunion travel from various areas of New South Wales and Queensland, they not only come for the weekend but have made Bingara a holiday destination, arriving  the week before the event and in some cases staying  4 or 5 days after the reunion and making Bingara their base to visit other locations in the Region .
