Approval to Burn in Gwydir Shire
Under the “Protection of the Environment Operations (Control of Burning) Regulation 2000” in regards to the burning of waste material and vegetation within the shire. Council is listed on Part 2 of Schedule 1 with a blanket approval for burning of vegetation given to those properties within the Rural Zone and complying with the Rural Fires Act and Regulations 1997 as amended. Council is also listed on Part 3 of Schedule 1 to prevent burning of domestic waste on premises where a domestic waste management service is provided.
